This is a blog devoted to the mundane daily activities of my pal, Steve. I've known Steve for over twenty years, which means that he's my oldest friend. We met at a party on a Saturday afternoon. It was February or March, and, probably, overcast. It was always overcast in the 1980s. Steve's favourite videogame was called "Berserk."

Darts and Debauchery

Steve and I went to the Duke of Gloucester yesterday for some jars and
some chit-chat. We talked for a while about recent goings-on, about our
opinions of the movie Sideways, about the Office Christmas Special,
which I'd lent to Steve a few weeks before, and a bunch of other stuff.
I was pretty tired, but Steve was his usual energetic, humorous self.
After an hour or two we moved into the back room to get out of the cold
(it was freezing in there) and play some darts, which was our main
reason for meeting at that particular pub.

It turns out Steve and I are pretty evenly matched at the game of darts.
To say it another way: we sucked equally. We played for a long time,
working our way down from the number 20 to the number 8 (it was getting too late to go all the way to 1). Once we got three darts in 8, we had to go for the bullseye. Steve got it first, so he won.

Then we went home to our families.
